The team from Ascension, Fond du Lac had a successful visit from May 21 - 27.  This was the third time a group from this church has visited.  Five of the seven team members were new this time, including Amy Engebose who recently joined Jeff Blain as one of the pastors at Ascension.

Being a new group, more time was spent on pilgrimage-type activities than work-type pursuits.  They were able to visit all of our ministry sites, including doing a craft project with Marie's girls and helping the staff feed the Little Children of Jesus.  The team also brought many things for each ministry, including money to buy chicken and hot dogs for the children at Village of Hope.

Their main work project consisted of building six much-needed new desks for the students at Marie's school.  They also bagged beans and rice for the VOH staff and helped sort some of the items at Hope House.  The worship service was a complete wash out the Sunday they were at VOH, but the team and three staff members who made it through the rain and mud had an inspiring service nevertheless.
