Work Assignment: The team worked tirelessly at the school. The cafeteria and chapel have a fresh coat of paint. The faucets outside the dining room and in the bathrooms have been repaired. The playground equipment has been fixed and is ready for action. The blackboards have been refreshed. The VOH sign at the main road has been touched up (a special thanks to Lennie Fenton).

Other Activities:  Part of the team spent the week at Little Children of Jesus. They assisted the staff there with daily routine of caring for the children.  Laundry, cooking, bathing, you name it, they helped. They also enjoyed the “summer camp” activities with the children. Summer camp had lots of music, a parade around the campus and other fun activities for the kids, big and little alike.

Special Notes:Evening devotions, led by Stacey Veseling, were accented with music provided by the talented Stephani Suwanski on guitar.

The team toured downtown, Food for the Poor, and the Earthquake Memorial sit.  While downtown, they enjoyed a Haitian buffet dinner at The Plaza Hotel.  Many stimulated the Haitian economy with purchases the local metal artisans and at a gift shop in town.
