The Cottage Renovation Team, led by Scott Dingle, did an amazing job on the back cottage during their 4 night stay with us.  Like most renovation projects, they got into more than they anticipated and were not able to complete the project, but what a difference they made on that cottage!  Most of the items had been removed by Dave Dangerfield's team (former pastor of Advent), so when these Advent members hit the ground, they were ready to roll.

 

And roll, they did!  I don't think we have ever had a more intense, harder working team.  They transformed a dingy storage facility into a modern, comfortable living accommodation.  Scott had taken the measurements and laid out the floor plan when he was here in July with the VBS team from Advent.  Even with most of the supplies and materials shipped over by FFP, we still had to make many a trip to the local hardware store and were actually able to find most of what was needed. 

 

Everything from the windows to the commode was replaced, with a new closet built into the sleeping area and a whole new kitchen installed.  There is at least 3-4 days worth of work for some team to do, but already it looks like a brand new building.
