Faith, Arlington VA & Peace, Waldorf MD
A team of 13 from Faith, Arlington, VA and Peace, Waldorf, MD just spent a delightful 6 days with us here at Hope House. This 9 women, 4 men team hit the ground running and did not stop until they got to the PAP airport. One of their main work projects was designing and building the desks for the computer lab at VOH, a task they completed admirably. They also completed several much needed regular desks for the students at VOH. Besides all the building, they also helped with much sorting and organizing, leaving Hope House much neater than it was when they arrived.
The team was also able to visit the other ministry sites, being impressed with everything they saw. Since their departure flight was not until early afternoon, they were also able to squeeze in a visit to Food for the Poor on their last morning in Haiti.
This was the first visit to Haiti for all the team, except for the leader Liz Schuch and one other participant. They were all touched by what they saw, returning home with a desire to "do more to help."
